Just before lunch we stopped along side a bridge and watched a mother otter feed her infant mussels..............she would crack them in her teeth, pull out the meat and feed the baby.
We stopped for lunch at THE HAUTE ENCHILADA a colorful restaurant in MOSS LANDING. Michelle had a wonderful homemade soup with chicken and avocado and I enjoyed the "Big Chicken Burrito". This dish came out and it was huge, probably 12" long and 4" in diameter. Boy it was delicious. (Tim ate 1/2).
The final 10 - 15 miles took us along fields of fruits and vegetables............strawberries, artichokes, cauliflower, lettuce, brussel sprouts, etc. There were fruit / vegetable stands along side the road selling this wonderful produce at incredible prices......6 avocados for $1.00!
We're staying at the 5 star Best Western tonight. The only restaurant around is Denny's.............I hope dinner is somewhere else.
Tomorrow we cycle to Big Sur past the golf courses at Pebble Beach. It should be a beautiful 53 mile day. Our home tomorrow night are cabins in the woods!
Best,
M and Big
