Sorry for the delay in updating the blog. Yesterday, day 4 was a very tough ride, lots of logging trucks, RV's coming too close to us, the long (under construction 3.8 mile Astoria Bridge and big climbs that went on an on. We finished the day around 3:30 pm, tired and physically drained.
Immediately after the ride we headed to the local DQ (Dairy Queen) for a recovery chocolate milkshake (listed as 1330 calories!). We had an early dinner and then headed back to the hotel to meet up with our good friend Michael Cordisco. I've know Michael C for over 20 years and it's always great to catch up on what's happening at his employer NIKE and more importantly what's going on in the busy Cordisco fanily. It was great seeing Michael and really appreciated him making the 90 minute drive from Portland and hand delivering some new sneakers for Michelle and tyre tubes for me.
Best to all.
M and Big
