Day 2 SHELTON to WESTPORT

DAY 2 took us South and then West to the coast.  The ride of 68 miles took us just over 4 hours, riding at a 15 mph pace.  The ride was a little lumpy for the first 25 miles but then it flattened out for next 40+ miles.  The road surface was a little rough and looked like pebbles rolled into blacktop.  If someone were to fall on this surface, your skin would look like ground beef......thankfully no one confirmed my theory.

We stopped in Aberdeen and enjoyed lunch on an outdoor patio overlooking an inland waterway.  It was a wonderful small seafood restaurant serving all sorts of fresh seafood.  Being on the coast has it's advantages.  I'm looking forward to a wonderful seafood dinner.

As soon as I can figure out how to attach pictures to the blog you'll be able to see some of the beautiful scenery we've been viewing on our rides.

Best to all,

M and Big
